HIT Students’ CD released – sessions 1

Sessions Vol. 1 was released on May 31st. by the newly created student run imprint Hit Records and Maximum Music (EMI). Graduates of the Advanced Recording Artist (ARA) program, under the guidance of a team of award winning faculty members and industry professionals, had the opportunity to oversee all aspects of music production, from concept through to the commercial release of a record, including A&R, sales, marketing, promotion, and publicity with a special emphasis on direct-to-fan and online marketing.

 

HIT students and instructors in the News:

HIT graduate, Graeme Collins, has set up Coast Peak Studios and has been working with Evil Ebenezzer as well as members of Sweatshop Union and Onyx.

Songwriting instructor, Ron Irving is heading to Victoria, later this month, for Vic Fest,  to conduct a Songwriting workshop for Music B.C. with ASCAP’s Ralph Murphy and Grammy Award winner Dan Hill.

Harbourside Engineer/Producer, Nick Engwer, has recorded 4 bands at the HIT studio over the past few months: Unleash the Archers, Between Seas, Argent Strand, and the Stone Pines. Monday Magazine: “Vancouver melodic death metal band, Unleash the Archers, is unleashing it’s latest album, Demons of the AstroWaste, and kicking off their cross-Canada tour with two shows in Victoria”.

Sound Design instructor, Ken Cade is heading to Clearwater B.C. to play in the Serenity Summer Concert.

HIT Registrar, Tony Rudner, finally recorded the tracks for “Till Love is Born again”, a song he co-wrote with Songwriting Hall of Famer, Academy and Grammy Award winner, Paul Williams.
