HiT graduate,Dehara September was in the Harbourside studio last week, recording vocals for a song called “You will find your way”, that she wrote with registrar, Tony Rudner.
HiT graduate, Dave Meszaros is engineering while Tony Rudner is producing the track.

Post Audio Instructor, Ken Cade, recently completed the sound design for a TV mini series called,  “Delete”,  and a movie, “Nearlyweds”.
He is currently working on a Movie of the Week for CBC called “Mr. Hockey” (the story of Gordie Howe), which is slated to  be released in the new year.

HiT graduate, Brad Tasker, has completed a year producing at The Zone 91.3 and 100.3 – The Q, and now has a comprehensive Production Demo Reel. He is using the reel to assist him in finding another radio job as his contract at the station is coming to an end in December. He thanks HiT for giving him a solid foundation, which will enable him to continue his career and take it in whatever direction he wants. Exciting times, as well, for Brad and his band as they plan a relocation to L.A in the Summer.

Music Theory Instructor, Kerry Galloway, has been in creative mode, as usual, writing and performing. “Steelin’ In The Years”, a Steely Dan tribute project which he co-founded this year, did a concert and live taping in front of a sold-out crowd at the Blue Frog last Saturday – it was a huge success and they’ve been asked back ASAP. Kerry also hit the Arts Club Mainstage with Serbian-Turkish-Flamenco group “Tambura Rasa” and an entourage including the Black Dog string quartet and two separate dance troupes, one Serbian and one Flamenco. In addition, he subbed in on bass in the pit bands for “Rent” and “Grease”, and for Canadian jazz legend Ron Johnston’s 70th birthday celebration.

HiT Songwriting Instructor, Ron Irving, has just returned from a great song writing and song plugging trip to Nashville! Pitching songs to the labels, who kept a few to play for the artists – One song has gone directly to Kenny Rogers and to Keith Urban – We’re keeping our fingers crossed for Ron!
