Student Funding

 

Harbourside IT is accredited by the Private Career Training Institutions Agency (of BC) – PCTIA. Financial assistance is available through Provincial and National Student Aid Programs. Canadian Citizens and Landed Immigrants may be eligible for Federal and Provincial student loan funding. Loans may also be available from financial institutions in Canada, or other countries. Students may be eligible for training through Employment Insurance, Band Training Programs, or the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia.

 


 

Bursaries And Scholarships

 

The Harbourside Institute of Technology offers academic bursaries to eligible students enrolled in the Audio Engineering and Music Production program and the Advanced Recording Artist program. These bursaries are awarded on the basis of financial need and availability. HIT bursaries are given to students who exhibit a real passion and ability in the field of audio engineering and music production and who are experiencing financial hardship. Scholarships offered by other organizations other than HIT may also be available to eligible students. The criteria for these scholarships are determined by the organization supplying the scholarship funds. The following website can assist students in their search for outside scholarship funding:
