EQA is a quality assurance designation that identifies BC public and private post-secondary institutions that have met or exceeded provincial government recognized quality assurance standards and offer consumer protection.
EQA provides one standard provincial seal that can be recognized globally as symbol of quality.
The EQA seal allows students to easily identify which provincial institutions the government of BC recognizes as having met quality assurance standards and that offer consumer protection to learners.
PCTIA (Private Career Training Institutions Agency) succeeded the Private Post-Secondary Education Commission of BC (PPSEC) as the regulatory agency for private training institutions in the province of BC. HIT is a PCTIA accredited institution. This accreditation means that HIT has completed a detailed accreditation report, has successfully undergone a rigourous evaluation by an external audit team, and has met the PCTIA’s quality standards for educational institutions.
HIT was quick to realize the potential of Ableton Live as a creative tool for electronic music producers and performers. Our EMP instructor is a certified Ableton Trainer and attends a training program at Ableton’s Los Angeles centre, to ensure that he can pass on the latest knowledge to our students.
The McDSP Education Program was created to distribute McDSP software to qualified academic institutions and training facilities, putting their state of the art plug-ins in every one of these institution’s Pro Tools workstations.
As a result of HIT’s partnership with McDSP all our student workstations are loaded with their world class plug-ins.
As an Avid Authorized Training Partner (AATP) the Harbourside Institute of Technology is authorized to offer certification in Pro Tools 101, 110,130, 201 and 210M.
